Sleeping Beauty
The prince woke up slowly, squinting his eyes that were almost blinded by the sun shining through the leaves. He was leaning against a tree, his cape wrapped up around him like a blanket. Birds were singing above him and he could see the lake from where he was sitting. It was peaceful and warm. Truly, could it get any better than this?
He yawned and looked around him. Seemingly, things had not changed since he had fallen asleep, which was good. It was a little scary to fall asleep and then wake up to things being completely different.
"What's this...?" he mumbled once his eyes spotted something he had not seen before. He rubbed his eyes to make sure he had not seen his own, but even after doing so, the object remained there. It was a beautiful blue ribbon, laying on the grassy ground.
"Did someone drop this?" the man asked and slowly stood up (and almost fell over with his cape still wrapped around him). He couldn't just leave the ribbon there; he was sure someone was looking for it maybe even just now. He pulled the cape so that it was actually fullfilling its role as a cape again, and not a blanket. Then he knelt down to pick up the ribbon.
"Let's see... If I had lost my ribbon, where would I search for it first? I'm going to return this," he mused and started walking around the yard.

[Cinderella]
The blonde wiggled her toes in the lake as she sat by the edge, appreciating the warm sunlight under the afternoon sun. She liked how it made the lake glimmer, it looked as if the water was replaced with chandeliers in the palace.
She looked down at her feet again, her wavy hair getting in the way of her sight. Wait a minute- her hair? Where did her ribbon go? Oh no, where did she lose it again this time?
Reluctantly, she pulled her legs in and squatted in her spot, trying to feel for the ribbon in the grass nearby. Nothing. Hmm could it have been blown into the lake? Maybe she had lost it on the way here?
She bade farewell to the frog sitting further down the lake and brushed off the grass from her dress, completely forgetting about her face. She wiggled her toes again as she felt the grass beneath her feet, it was slightly ticklish compared to the warm waters of the lake.
And so, Cinderella went off in search of her blue ribbon. What adventure will she get into this time? Stay tuned to find out.

Sleeping Beauty
Rose was sure he had not slept for too long. And considering the ribbon had appeared while he was asleep, the person the ribbon belonged to had to be somewhere nearby. The prince kept walking around and looking, but he was still tired and his eyes still wanted to close themselves, so observing was quite a task. Even so, the prince's determination to do the good deed was strong enough to keep him awake.
Soon, he saw someone moving. The person was still far away so the prince, instead of shouting, decided to walk faster to see who it was and ask about the ribbon.

[Cinderella]
Cinderella was now bent over, trying to get a closer look at the grass in search of her ribbon. She wasn't looking up at all, and was slowly headed deeper into the forest.
She wondered why the grass seemed to be getting taller just ever so slightly, maybe she should head bac- Wait what's that over there? A pearl? But it can't be.. unless someone lost it? And off the girl went, her thoughts interrupted by what possible new treasure lain glistening in the corner of the forest.
It didn't take long for the young girl to get to it, it was an empty butterfly cocoon, glistening just because the sunlight hit it at just the right spot. Aw, Cinderella thought she could've aded something to her collection.
Just as she turned around, she realised, she had no idea where she was. "Oh dear" Cinderella whispered, tucking her toes in.

Sleeping Beauty
Just as he was starting to catch up with the person, they walked further away from him.
"W-wait!" the prince tried to shout but his voice was so tired from all the sleeping. Of course the person would not hear him.
"I need to catch them then!" he thought and started running faster, his cape flowing behind him. But even with all his running, it was hard to keep up with the other person. They ventured to the forest and there Rose had no choice but slow down if he didn't want to hurt himself. Running into a tree branch and getting knocked over by it was more than enough.
"Please wait!" he tried calling out once more when he was deep in the forest and so close to the person he could see their features.
"Is this ribbon yours?" the prince continued and waved the blue ribbon.

[Cinderella]
It didn't take long before Cinderella heard a branch break off a little further away from her. She looked up to find a young man in a cape looking back at her, this person had gotten really close.. really fast.
She observed the other a little more, the young man had a very pretty face, and he reminded her of roses for some reason she couldn't explain. Finally realising the other was waving a ribbon, she quickly nodded and put her right hand out to receive it. "Ah I was looking for it! Thank you so much!" Cinderella explained, beaming at the young man.
She wondered what his tale was? Could he be a prince? He sure looks like one. The blonde hoped he wasn't one of those villains out to trick princesses, that would be terrible. Although Cinderella didn't know if she was even considered a princess, she wasn't of royal blood after all.

He walked closer to the other and returned the ribbon. His breathing had calmed down thanks to walking around rather than running, but he sounded tired - even considering his overall tiredness.
"I found it on the ground and knew someone had lost it..." he spoke and grinned sheepishly before waving some of his locks away from his face.
"I'm Sleeping Beauty, it's nice to meet you! I haven't seen you around before."
Saying this, he bowed politely, as expected from a prince. He wondered who the other was: Rose had a few guesses, but he decided not to speak them out loud.

The blonde thanked the prince again as she held the ribbon, and started pulling her hair together again in an attempt to put them back into the loose braid it was supposed to be in.
"Nice to meet you too! I'm Cinderella," she introduced herself, smiling but her hands still moving to braid her hair. Her loose braid hung from over her right shoulder, held in place by the blue ribbon.
Cinderella did a curtsy in return, lifting the ends of her dress up slightly. Looking around again, Cinderella frowned a little and placed her hand on her chin as she thought, "Hmm.. where were they.. exactly?"
She wasn't really worried, after all there was still sunlight and she was pretty good with navigating. But this area was new.. And oddly quiet..WOAH what was that? It's sparkling?
"Hey Sleeping Beauty? Do you see that over there? There's something shiny, can you see it?" Cinderella asked the other, tiptoeing and pointing into an area deeper into the forest.

Sleeping Beauty
Ah, so the other was Cinderella! One version of their stories were written by the same creatures and featured in the same book, so the prince knew the story. Even so, he knew nothing about this current reincarnation, and was curious to learn more.
"It's a pleasure to meet you!" he replied but noticed the girl's attention soon was caught by something very else. Something shiny? The prince had to look in the pointed direction too to see it. Indeed, there was something, but he doubted it was anything valuable.
"Yeah, I can see it. Do you want to go to take a look?"
He glanced around him and realized he had no idea where he was. He felt cold sweat breaking, but he decided to just go with the flow. If they were lost then it probably did nothing harm if they got even more lost at this point.

"Yeah!" the girl replied, the enthusiasm sparkling in her eyes. "Come on let's go!" she said, and tried to grab the prince's hand as she ran towards the shiny object, hopping from her excitement.
Oooo just thinking about it made her excited. Maybe it was an enchanted hairpin? A golden key to a mysterious house? Maybe it was just a coin, but a coin that shiny is a good coin by Cinderella's books.
Hmm that object seemed a little further than it looked, maybe it's reflectiveness made it look nearer. Cinderella continued hopping towards it, maybe she'll add it to her treasure box. Oh but she was sure the doves who often spoke to would like this gift! Maybe she should give it to them instead! She should thank them for always helping her, after all.

The girl enthusiastically grabbed Rose's hand before he even had the time to say anything. Before he even noticed, she was following the excited girl around.
"B-by any chance, do you know where we are?" he asked somewhat timidly, still being dragged along by Cinderella. Deep in his heart he had a craving for adventure, but he just wanted to know whether or not they were lost for real.

The girl stopped in her tracks, her enthusiasm gone in a heart beat. Oh dear.. She had no idea where they were.. "W-well.. no.." she answered sheepishly, it was her fault that the prince ended up here with her. She looked around again, they looked like they were quite deep in the forest indeed.
She turned around slowly to face the prince, "I'm sorry. It's my fault for dragging you here," she said softly, loosening her grip on Rose's hand.
"B-but don't worry! I'm sure we'll find a way out! I'm really good at navigating after I know the place better!" she explained, cupping Rose's hand with both of her hands. "Really! We'll be fine!"

He felt bad for ruining the girl's good mood to the point he could physically feel his heart aching in his chest. He looked at the girl and tried to give a supportive smile:
"It's fine, we will surely find our way out eventually!"
He then pointed at the direction where they were supposed to be going.
"First and foremost, we should check that shiny thing, shouldn't we?" he spoke in a supporting manner. Yeah, they could make it out eventually. And they could always just nap, that usually solved a problem or two right off the bat. So they were fine.

Cinderella knew the prince was trying to comfort her, but she was sure they'll be fine.. If they really get lost, she'll just ask the birds in the forest for directions, yeah! They'll be fine!
The girl returned the prince's smile, this time she really let the prince's hand go. Instead, she chose to walk beside him.
Sleeping beauty.. She knew about the tale, except wasn't Sleeping Beauty always female? Maybe this reincarnation was different. After all, so was hers..or so she guessed, since she hasn't met her Prince yet but she has her crown. She couldn't even really be considered a princess without her prince. Oh well, she enjoyed her time here anyway and the title didn't really matter to her that much.
"Erm..you can call me Verre. I mean since Cinderella is really long, and more of my title than my name really.." the girl tried to make some small talk. She was honestly better at this with birds or mice.

"Verre?" he spoke the name out loud, trying it. It was a nice name.
"I hope you don't mind me calling you by the name Verre from now on, then."
The prince himself didn't have a name to call his own. He was just known as the Sleeping Beauty, but he did have a myriad of different nicknames given by people. Sleepy, Rose, Briar Rose, Dornröschen... There was a lot to choose from.
"I don't have any special name myself, aside from Sleeping Beauty. You can call me what you want," the prince explained then. "Most people just give me a nickname and stick with it. And I like nicknames."
He then took a look at his surroundings before he continued: "Although... I haven't met all that many people yet. I'm a fairly new reincarnation. How about you?"
