(Only slightly sorry about the thread title)
[Cinderella]
The blonde walked around aimlessly, she was sure she was trying to look for something.. but had completely forgotten what it was by now. Oh well. She shrugged.
Oh? It seems her feet had led her to the lake. Ah! It looked beautiful as always, sparkling under the sunlight.
..Maybe it wouldn't hurt to rest for a while.
The girl lain on her stomach, her hand running through the water as she hummed softly. Unaware of the birds and squirrels which had started to gather around from her humming, she kicked her legs up and down without a care in the world.

[Snow Queen]
Sylviana flew through the air, light as a feather creating frost on whatever she touched. She was bored. Her cold artwork never lasted long in this weather and everything just seemed pointless. That is, until she came to the lake. The sun was shining, birds and creatures of all kinds enjoying themselves on the body of water. Wouldn't it be fun if everything froze, scaring them and ruining their fun?
Gracefully she floated down and touched the surface of the water, where it froze instantly. Sylviana smiled as she skated and danced across the liquid, creating beautiful patterns and solid designs across its surface. Such a shame it wouldn't last for more to see its beauty.

[Cinderella]
Cinderella felt a sharp cold in her fingers, and quickly pulled them out of the water, just moments before the lake froze over. The water on her wet hand froze just before they fell back into the lake, forming ice on her fingers. It felt odd, but the girl let it stay frozen over her fingers as she moved them around in the sunlight, casting a new reflection on the now frozen lake.
The animals around her squawked and squeaked, taking off to look for shelter from the cold. The surprised Verre got up into a sitting position and crossed her legs. She squinted her eyes against the sun, spotting a figure in the middle of the lake. They look like they were dancing across the lake, a beautiful and curious sight she was more than happy to observe despite the bone-chilling cold.
The blonde gathered up her dress clumsily, and tried to place her feet on the lake. She quickly retreated back on the grass though, as the cold was too much for her and so she could only watch the figure from the shore.

[Ice Queen]
Silently she glided to the centre of the lake and looked around at her handiwork. The deep blue of the water was now a beautiful silver, the sun bouncing colours everywhere. And it was cold, just how she liked it. From the corner of her eyes she spied movement. A young pretty girl sitting by the side of the water, staring straight at her. Smiling, she walked regally over the ice and bowed to the stranger.
"Hello there, darling. I hope you enjoyed my little spectacle."

[Cinderella]
It didn't take long before the figure spotted her and came closer. Before Cinderella was a stunning woman, no doubt a royalty, with their way she carried herself. It feels like her breath had been taken away, she wasn't sure if it was because of the temperature or the one before her.
The blonde stood up again, smiling back at the one standing on ice. She did a curtsey in return. "I s-sure did! You've done a f-fantastic job, it looks a-amazing!" Cinderella exclaimed. Her chattering teeth couldn't hide her excitement at all.
"I-I'm Cinderella!" She quickly introduced herself, beaming at the stranger.

[Snow Queen]
"Thank you very much. I am the Snow Queen, though simply Sylviana will do. I am in charge of keeping everything cold during the Winter - though there are days like today where I grow bored of keeping nature normal." She introduced herself, covering her smile with dainty fingers. "I apologize for the weather, I know it isn't preferred by everyone. Although I could kiss you to numb you from the cold." Her eyes were narrow with sly mischief.

[Cinderella]
"Ah I see, then thank you for all the great winters we've had!" Cinderella replied, beaming as if the warmth of her smile could melt snow. "Oh you can call me Verre too!"
Cinderela thought Sylviana was a lot more graceful and elegant than she was, she was glad she wasn't a ruler or had great responsibility as the Snow Queen did. The girl was sure she'd never be able to handle it.
"Kiss me?" Cinderella questioned, tilting her head slightly. "I don't think I need it, it may be cold but I'm sure I'll be fine! And I get to enjoy the wonderful ice you've made!"

[Snow Queen]
This girl reminded her of summer. Her least favourite season, but she couldn't deny it was beautiful. "Ah well, it was worth a try." Her laughter sounded like bells. "A kiss for a girl as pretty as you would not be wasted."
Sylviana put a finger on her lips and looked at Cinderella up and down. "I notice you are not wearing shoes." With a flick of her hands she created a pair of skates out of ice. "Would you care to skate with me? The shoes are magical, they are not cold."

[Cinderella]
The Snow Queen had a laughter that matched her beauty. Hearing a compliment on her looks from someone like the Snow Queen made Cinderella feel.. honoured in a certain way. The blonde giggled, "Thank you, but a kiss from someone as stunning as you should be saved for the right person at the right moment," she replied sincerely.
Cinderella just stared in amazement when the other created skates out of nothing, she wished she had a power like that too. But she could talk to animals so on second thought, her own power was better. The birds and mice are great to talk to, she would be troubled if she couldn't do it anymore.
"Skate with you? I would love to!" Verre replied, jumping up excitedly before pausing. "But.. I'm afraid I don't know how to.."

She smiled at the compliment but didn't respond to it. She got them a lot - when she wasn't being feared that is.
"That is fine, I shall teach you." Sylviana replied, handing the skates over to the other girl. She turned around and moved onto the ice, almost gliding, her feet creating new frosty patterns with every step. Turning back to face Cinderella, she offered out her hand. "Come. The ice shall stay thick and safe so long as I am around."

[Cinderella]
"Oh? You will? Thank you!" The girl was more than just excited, with such a good teacher, she was sure she'd be able to enjoy her time skating.
Cinderella just watched as the Snow Queen created more patterns with every step, it was beautiful, almost mesmerizing. The girl tentatively took the Snow Queen's hand, she almost jumped from the chill of her hand but thankfully calmed herself down. "Thank you." she said again, taking soft steps on the ice.
Cinderella was too busy watching her own feet glide along the ice to look up at the Snow Queen. But the cold hand she was holding on to assured the blonde she was still there.
Slowly, she begin to look up again, looking at the Snow Queen at such a close distance made Verre nervous for some reason, it was as if the Snow Queen would be.. lethal if Verre were to get any closer. Her body tensed up without her realising it, the grip of her hand tightened.
She looked down again, concentrating on her feet to try to calm herself down. Verre chided herself internally, how could she think that way about someone who was patient enough to teach her? That's ungrateful and unkind. What would her mother think if she knew?

"There, see? It is just like dancing, you just keep your balance centered at it will be fine." Sylviana reassured Cinderella, lightly pulling her across the glittering ice, mistaking the girls nervousness for the skating and not because of herself. People feared her so much that she had become desensitized to their feelings - her coming signified Winter, which meant danger and death to many people.
They had made it to the center of the lake. She laughed internally at the idea of leaving Verre here and watching the lake thaw slowly, but that was too cruel to do to such a sweet girl who seemed to genuinely like the Snow Queens work. "Do you feel confident enough for me to let go now?"

Cinderella nodded at Sylviana's words, trying her hardest to follow her instructions despite her nervousness and cold.
Before she realised it, the two of them had already made it to the centre of the lake. And Cinderella wouldn't have noticed if the Snow Queen didn't ask her about letting go. The blonde looked around, the lake was much bigger than she imagined, and the trees seemed to point towards them, standing in the middle of the frozen lake.
"Wow" the girl let out as a whisper, her breath fogging up as it left her lips. "A-ah! I think I can do it on my own now, yeah!" she giggled and tentatively released her grip on the Snow Queen.
"Since you're kind enough to show me your powers, here let me show you mine as well!" The girl offered, and started singing to the trees. She hoped it would work, after all, her friends tend to be less active when it was cold.

Released from the other girls grip, Sylviana stepped away gliding over the ice. She was not much of a touchy-feely person and holding such a warm hand felt strange. Not strange in a bad way, she supposed.
"Oh my what a gorgeous singing voice you have, darling!" She smiled through her fingers. Sylviana was familiar with the story of Cinderella, but they had never been associated with each other so there were gaps in her knowledge of Cinderellas skills.

It didn't take long before a faint chirping was heard. The blonde's eyes lit up, but didn't stop singing. Instead, she stretched a hand out towards the direction of the chirping, as if that was all one needed to call upon birds.
And from the tall trees surrounding them, 2 small blue birds landed on Cinderella's outstretched arm, one on her index finger and the other on her forearm. "There we go," Cinderella was speaking now, and she glided over to the Snow Queen.
"Here it is, my power isn't as impressive as yours but I thought I should show it to you!" Verre beamed, gesturing to the birds still chirping happily on her arm. "Oh and thank you for the compliment on my voice!" she added.
