[Sleeping Beauty]
It was the night of a Halloween party. Much to the surprise of others, Rose had bravely endured himself and stayed awake almost the whole night, but even he had his limits. After people had started going back inside from outdoors (where they had been looking at the beautiful sceneries that had turned spooky in the spirit of Halloween), Rose had found a comfortable corner from the outside balcony and fell asleep.
Cold didn't bother him too much, especially since he was wearing his winter cape already. It was for his vampire costume and although people had told him bringing a winter cape to a vampire costume was weird, Rose had just been thinking two step ahead of others: that is, he knew he would need protection from cold.
And so, he was sleeping outside in the dark while others were partying inside. This had been going on for two hours now.

[Snow Queen]
Halloween was an enjoyable time for the snow queen. The air had just that hint of frost in signifying the upcoming colder months, giving her that extra spring in her step. She breathed in the air, taking delight in the quiet as most party guests relished in the warm inside. The party had been fun, mingling with the riff-raff of less royal creatures than herself - although a small wolf mask covered her features, it was still obvious she was more important than most of the others there. She brushed her hands over some overhanging leaves, letting sparkles of frost coat them.
It was in this moment of relaxation in which Sylviana noticed she wasn't alone on the balcony. A smaller lad sat curled up on the other end, eyes closed. Oh my, was he dead? She smiled a little and sauntered up to him. Maybe she could get away with a little mischief.

A very noticeable thing about his sleeping had been (aside from the fact he could sleep just about anywhere) the fact he looked dead when asleep. It was just part of the story and the prince was not particularly bothered by it, he never witnessed it himself after all, but that often caused unnecessary worry to other people. What worse, he didn't wake up unless he was kissed awake just like in his original story, or if he woke up on his own.
Which, luckily, was the case this time.
Waking up in the cold air, Rose opened his eyes a little. He had a feeling something was going on but he couldn't tell what, and the haziness after waking up made him unable to detect his surroundings properly just yet. He wished the cold air would wake him up a little faster.

Ooh, what a shame. He wasn't dead, and he wasn't sleeping anymore which ruined any fun she wanted to have. Sylviana stopped short and leaned against the balcony barrier, watching the disorientated boy through her festive mask.
"So you decided to rejoin the land of the living, hmm?" She teased the stranger, a small smile on her lips.

The prince blinked his eyes tiredly: someone was talking to him but his vision was still a little out of focus.
"Mmmh.... Yeah," he then mumbled and rubbed his eyes. Soon he saw a gorgeous woman in front of him, wearing a wolf mask. She didn't seem familiar to him: the cool aura she gave was something one would definitely not forget.
Finally, he came back to his senses properly and the last bits of sleepiness wore off of him.
"Ah, I was sleeping in a weird place again... I'm sorry if you thought I was something suspicious or s-something..!"
He stood up slowly so he wouldn't feel faint and brushed his blanket-cape-combination so that it resembled a cape again.

"Not at all. It was a good thing the host of these festivities hadn't caught you though, they may have taken offense." Truth be told, Sylviana had no idea who was hosting this party, she has simply heard about it and come along to see what the fuss was about. Its not like anyone would turn her down at the front door anyway.
"Are you-" She was cut off abruptly by a loud noise beyond the balcony, towards the woods. It sounded like a strangled yell, though not the normal kind of yell one would expect near a party. It sounded serious, and certainly not jovial. "Oh my," Sylvie exclaimed, a hand rushing to her breast in surprise, "How...startling." She had paused between her words to think of something more appropriate to say than 'exciting' or 'thrilling'. It was probably not wise to show she was excited at the prospect of danger to a stranger.

"Ah, I doubt that. I'm infamous around here already so it's no problem!" he declared, looking more proud than was socially acceptable when using the word "infamous". "Anyway, it's not like I can do much about it. It's a curse."
The woman was about to ask something from him but was cut off by a highly unsettling noise from the woods. Rose jumped a little upon hearing the noise, chilled to the bone. He had never heard anything like that before. And to think they heard the noise now, in the middle of the night when everything was dark and especially spooky... Rose felt a shiver down his spine but he tried to play it cool.
"W-what was that...?" he asked, his voice shaking a little despite his best efforts to keep it in check. He was not particularly scared, but telling he was not very unsettled would have been a lie. A voice like that... it couldn't mean anything good.
"It almost sounded like someone is in trouble... Did someone go into the woods?"

"Perhaps...one of the more intoxicated members of the party wandered too far and got themselves lost. There are dangers in those woods for those of the weaker heart."
Feeling impulsive, she jumped off the the side of the balcony, bending the cold air around her to float her down with ease. She couldn't wait for the first snow when she could fly alongside her baby flakes. Touching the ground softly, she turned and looked back up at her new acquaintance. "Shall we go investigate?"

"That could be the case... And it's all hallow's eve, so I wouldn't be surprised if someone went out there looking for even more excitement.." Rose concluded, slightly nodding to himself.
The prince watched as the woman suddenly jumped off the balcony, and he ran after her to the edge to see if she got hurt. Instead of getting hurt, however, she smoothly floated on the ground. Rose couldn't help but gasp in amazement upon seeing her elegant gestures. Now this was a person to look up to! "Y-yeah! If someone is in trouble we can't just ignore it!"
He looked at the ground and determined he couldn't make it if he jumped down. Or he would, but he would probably look really uncool.
"Hold on let me find the stairs."
He spoke seriously like he was in the middle of a drama, and then dashed to the direction of stairs. It didn't take him more than a minute to get where the woman was standing.
"Sorry about that..."
He then glanced at the direction of the woods and clenched his first in a determined manner.
"Let's go investigate!"

Her new acquaintance seemed full of energy despite being passed out on the floor mere moments ago. Someone with that kind of energy must be some kind of prince, or adventurer.
She waited patiently for him as he made his way through the building, smiling cooly when he returned. "I believe the sound was off in this direction, correct?" She asked, pointing towards the right of the densely packed trees which loomed in front of them. She began walking before he had the chance to respond, knowing that she was right.

"Yeah, I think so too," Rose replied although it seemed like the woman didn't wait for an answer: she was already walking towards to where they had heard the sound. Rose walked after her, making sure he would keep up with her. The dark, now silent forest was kind of unsettling and he didn't want to get lost tonight.
"A-ah, I'm sorry but I think I forgot to introduce myself. Please forgive my manners," he then spoke after some time of walking.
"I'm Prince Sleeping Beauty. But people usually just come up with some sort of nickname for me sooner or later. I have many and I don't mind most of them," he smiled. "May I ask Your name?"

Ah Sleeping Beauty, that explained the curse. She looked him over, a sly smile on her lips and eyes obscured by the mask. How cute.
"A pleasure. I am the Snow Queen, but please just Sylviana will do."
